A short film produced for the MMC course Stand Up Speak Out in Fall 2024. The viewers see the film as Ava is seeing in real time, which is to say, a bit blurry. When she finally puts on her new glasses, the image that we see, and the scenery that Ava herself sees, is transformed.
Based on a memory of the first time I got glasses and felt I could truly see for the first time. It was such a vivid sensory experience. Trees in particular stood out to me in a way that they never had before; I could see each leaf and branch in such distinct detail. It gave me a newfound appreciation for the way that we see the world.
